Senior Energy Engineer

We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in South Africa Role: Senior Energy Engineer - Renewable Energy & Decarbonisation Specialist Industry: Engineering Consulting - Energy & Infrastructure Level: Senior/Principal Engineer Key Requirements: B.Eng. or BSc. in Electrical Engineering, preferably with additional qualification in renewable energy Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) Extensive knowledge and proven experience in renewable energy sector including PV, wind, battery storage, green hydrogen, and energy transition projects Strong expertise in mini/micro-grid systems and grid-connection technologies Financial acumen with specific focus on energy project finance and commercial structures Experience in industrial processes and decarbonisation technologies Project management capabilities with ability to lead multidisciplinary internal teams Business development experience including bid preparation and proposal writing Technical report writing, presentation skills, and ability to review/check technical documentation Knowledge of feasibility studies, concept design development, and technical specification preparation Experience in tender documentation preparation for renewable energy projects Understanding of large-project context, structures, and key stakeholders Personal Attributes: Strong leadership qualities with proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities Strong contractual and commercial awareness Business development mindset with ability to identify and pursue new opportunities Collaborative approach with ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams Strategic thinking with focus on service delivery excellence Commitment to socially useful work and sustainable energy solutions Ability to thrive in a diverse, collective environment while maintaining individual excellence If you would like to apply for this position, please send your CV through to engineering.vacancy@stand-outstaffing.co.za Alternatively, contact us at XXX-XXXX for more information or visit our website on: www.stand-outstaffing.co.za
