Technical Writer (JB5447) Bellville, Cape Town R35 R45,000 CTC per month Medical Aid Permanent | Monday to Friday, 9 AM 6 PM Join a fast-paced engineering team as a full-time Technical Writer based in Bellville. If youre great at turning technical detail into clear, easy-to-understand content and enjoy working on both manuals and public sector proposals, this could be the role for you. Youll collaborate with global teams to create a wide range of documents including SOPs, guides, and tender responses. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, with excellent writing skills, a technical mindset, and an interest in international collaboration (including occasional travel to the USA). Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field (Journalism/English with technical experience will also be considered) 3 years experience in technical or proposal writing Native-level English writing and editing skills Experience with RFPs, RFIs, or public sector bids Strong grasp of technical and SaaS product documentation Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and AI writing tools (e.g., ChatGPT) Valid passport and willingness to travel occasionally Great attention to detail, grammar, and structure Confident working independently and with global teams Duties and Responsibilities: Create and edit technical documents: manuals, SOPs, quick-start guides, and tender responses Simplify complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content Collaborate with engineering and sales teams across time zones Format and write compelling bid documents for public sector opportunities Maintain version control and brand consistency across all documents Identify content gaps and develop supporting materials Contribute to internal training, onboarding, and quality documentation
