Director of Business Development The Director of Business Development is responsible for conducting high-level sales activities in designated geographic markets to achieve profitable growth and meet MNX’s revenue objectives. This role involves identifying customer needs, developing financial and risk management solutions, and securing customer commitments. What you will do: Achieve sales activities and performance objectives for retention and penetration of the designated geographic market. Monitor and maintain account relationships to ensure seamless integration of new business and customer satisfaction. Identify and evaluate new sales leads and prospects; conduct prospecting meetings, identify key decision makers, and qualify potential customers. Develop complex sales strategies and proactively search for new opportunities within the designated geography. Conduct customer analysis to identify needs, determine the impact of products/services, and promote suitable products and services. Develop strategies and plans for managing current accounts effectively. Develop and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers. Prepare periodic sales reports with key metrics. Monitor and assess competitive products and services; provide industry trend insights; recommend changes to MNX services accordingly. Represent MNX at company events, tradeshows, or trade association meetings. Partner with Marketing, Inside Sales, and other departments to ensure a positive customer experience. Participate in educational programs, current literature, and in-service meetings for professional growth. Assist other departments as needed. What you bring: BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or a related field; professional development courses in sales are a plus. 8 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in sales management or equivalent education and experience. Proven success in B2B selling roles, with sales awards to demonstrate achievement. Experience in transportation sales is preferred. Experience in sales planning, proposals, and selling value propositions to appropriate customer levels. Achievement of sales goals and demonstrated sales leadership. Participation in sales training and leadership development programs.
