The Retail Director is responsible for leading and optimizing the operational performance of the stores. This senior leader will drive sales growth, manage the Profit & Loss (P&L), oversee store footprint expansion, and ensure operational excellence. Responsibilities The Retail Director will oversee the overall Profit & Loss for the store business, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded, and will develop and implement strategies to improve profitability and cost efficiency. This individual will drive sales performance through strategic initiatives and operational improvements, and will lead the expansion of the store footprint, including site selection, new store openings, and market penetration strategies. Ensuring all stores operate to the highest standards of efficiency, customer service, and compliance is a key focus, as is the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement programs across all operations. In addition, the Retail Director will lead and provide the team guidance, mentorship, and performance management while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. The role also involves overseeing the daily management of store operations, including inventory, staffing, logistics, and customer service. You will collaborate with the cross functional teams to develop and execute business strategies that align with company objectives, and will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and internal teams. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. A minimum of 12 to 15 years of retail operations experience is required, including at least 5 years in a senior management role overseeing multiple locations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities, a proven track record in P&L management and sales growth, and excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, are essential.
