Summary

Merage Foundations is a consortium of nonprofit family foundations, including the David Merage Foundation for Confronting Antisemitism, headquartered in Englewood, Colorado. The mission of the David Merage Foundation is to end Jewish hate through education, awareness, and advocacy, by investing in—and partnering with—organizations on the frontlines of confronting antisemitism and preserving democracy. The position requires a high-performing leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be eager to play a key role on a passionate and dedicated team; will be creative, resourceful, and attentive to detail; and will effectively manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities.

Reporting to the Executive Director, responsibilities will include implementing the Foundation’s engagement strategy on confronting antisemitism in the US. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, nimble, diplomatic, and innovative project manager with an active approach to engaging people, managing resources, and implementing projects. They will prioritize results, excellence, and collaboration across the larger organization and beyond.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help implement all strategies for the Foundation, in partnership with other organizational leaders
  • Manage all convenings for the Foundation in alignment with the overall strategy to confront antisemitism
  • Seek out and facilitate opportunities to partner with other institutions and organizations to advance the Foundation’s mission
  • Manage the finances of projects in coordination with other organizational leaders
  • Take a hands-on approach to the promotion of the foundation on multiple media formats, including social media
  • Manage the Foundation’s internal and external communication efforts
  • Maintain collaborative, effective working relationship with the business office
  • Professionally, diplomatically, and effectively represent the Foundation to various stakeholders to help catalyze action towards ending Jewish hate
  • Leverage excellent problem-solving skills, ensuring that obstacles are overcome with efficient and effective solutions
  • Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, maintaining a clear overview of all moving parts within the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively with high-level stakeholders, including senior executives, academic leaders, policymakers, and community influencers
  • Knowledge of Private Family Foundation principals and concepts               
  • Must be hands-on, resourceful, nimble, and creative; have an active management and leadership approach
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to adhere to fast-paced project timelines

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in collective impact, convening and leading other organizations towards common goals, developing funding partners and alliances
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Proven track-record of successfully managing complex, substantive social impact projects
  • Preferred experience in Philanthropy/Nonprofit administration and Startups
  • Preferred experience with or exposure to confronting antisemitism
  • Ability to create compelling communications and marketing materials
  • Preferred website and social media writing skills
  • Responds to challenges with creative problem solving, while maintaining high performance levels in a rapidly evolving work environment
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent relationship building skills
  • Preferred experience preparing and administering budgets
  • Ability to interface with sensitive information ethically and responsibly
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to adhere to fast-paced project timelines

Travel

  • Approximately 30%

Salary Range

  • $60,000 - $80,000 annually
