Job description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients and assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality care. You will work closely with patients in various settings, including inpatient and critical care environments, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to safety and health protocols. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Provide care for patients with specific needs such as geriatrics, memory care, hospice care, and infectious disease care. Support nursing staff in critical care settings by preparing equipment and assisting with procedures. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Document patient information accurately in medical records. Experience Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role is preferred. Familiarity with basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols. Knowledge of caring for patients with diverse needs, including those requiring geriatric or hospice care. Understanding of infection control practices and the ability to implement aseptic techniques effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
