Controller

Our client a leading wholesale ecommerce company has an exciting opening for a Controller. Working closely with the President and other stakeholders both internal and external, the responsibilities of this position will include:- Supervise/review AP/AR functions- Monitor banking activities and cash forecasting- Responsible for month/year-end procedures/schedules, including, journal entries and various financial reports- Manage and develop the Accounts Payable and Receivable Team.- Manage Inventory controls at the Distribution Centers- Monthly analysis and reporting of expenses- Investigate and reconcile variances, report findings- Maintain and implement internal controls- Sales analysis and internal and external reporting- Enhance and/or develop monthly/quarterly financial reports and analysis for department expenses tracking- Take a leadership role in the further development and upgrade of current systems and processes- Maintain consistency of processes and procedures- Support budgeting / Forecasting processes- Sales tax reporting- Other duties and/or ad hoc projects that arise- CPA designation is required - 5-10 years of experience working in a wholesale ecommerce business is a strong asset. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Attentive to detail and accurate- Strong people management skills, including mentoring, training and conducting effective performance reviews- Excellent communication and leadership skills- Excellent computer application skills, including Microsoft office applications, advanced knowledge of Excel. - Strong knowledge of QuickBooks is an asset as well as investigation and implementation of new systems.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
