Vehicle Repair Estimator / Evaluator

Industry: Automotive, Car Rental Location: Cape Town Airport, Western Cape Salary: /- R18 000- R20 000 pm The company is seeking an experienced Vehicle Repair Estimator / Evaluator to manage the cost negotiations, quality control, and timely turnaround of vehicle repairs. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with panel shop estimating experience or a similar background. Qualifications: Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and cost management within the automotive industry. Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate effectively to balance cost and quality. Result-Driven: Ability to operate within The company's business policies to achieve timely, high-quality results. Key Responsibilities: Cost Negotiation: Negotiate repair costs with panel suppliers to secure the best quality work at optimal pricing. Parts Validation: Confirm and validate the parts required, tracking order Estimated Time of Delivery (ETD) to ensure timely repair completion. Quality Assessment: Evaluate the quality of repairs upon return to maintain the company's high standards. Damage Management: Coordinate all structural damage dispatch and return aspects, ensuring minimal out-of-service time. Job Card Generation: Create job cards detailing repair requirements and timelines. Downtime Agreement: Establish clear expectations on repair downtime and follow through to completion within business guidelines.
