Faircom, a dynamic and rapidly expanding Internet Service Provider (ISP), is looking for a driven and technically skilled Infrastructure Manager to oversee and elevate the core infrastructure that powers our fibre and wireless networks. In this role, you'll manage and maintain critical infrastructure including data rooms and node rooms lead a team, ensure seamless last-mile fibre and wireless installations, and drive infrastructure upgrades that directly support our commercial and residential client base. Responsibilities Oversee and maintain all data rooms / node rooms , ensuring detailed documentation and proper operational standards. Ensure effective last-mile fibre installations , open access procedures, and liaise with external ISPs and vendors. Manage cabling technicians , providing guidance, resource allocation, and quality assurance. Conduct scheduled infrastructure changes , and network performance optimization on a daily basis. Collaborate with the network engineers to identify, and execute network improvements and upgrades. Drive new builds and upgrades in line with business growth and technological advancement. Ensure meticulous documentation of all infrastructure , installations, changes, and procedures. Implement best practices in infrastructure compliance and operational protocols. Monitor and respond to network outages , ensuring minimal downtime and effective escalation. Conduct ongoing maintenance and support of systems and infrastructure across the organisation and client base. Provide technical support for both residential and commercial clients , maintaining service standards and reliability. Requirements: Qualification: Bachelor's degree in in Information Technology or equivalent Experience and Knowledge: Proven experience in managing ISP and internal infrastructure environments. Hands-on knowledge of fibre and wireless technologies , last-mile solutions, and network design. Familiarity with MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cisco , and similar networking platforms. Skills and Attributes: A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to document and manage multiple technical environments . Self-motivated with a hands-on, can-do attitude Results-driven, with a commitment to excellence Hands-on approach to guiding and mentoring technical staff Strong organisational and coordination skills Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills. Specific requirements Must have a valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle Clear health record Clear criminal record Clear credit record Two written references Working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 to 17h00. Due to the nature of the position, you will be required to be on call on a rotational basis.
