Site Accountant

A reputable mining operation based in Sikhwahlane, Mpumalanga is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Site Accountant . This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with strong cost accounting expertise to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced mining environment. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Reconcile diesel usage and monitor consumption Analyze raw material and final product data Investigate production figure anomalies and variances Assist with production forecasting and reporting Manage inventory reconciliation and control Prepare cost and management reports Support operational teams with financial analysis and reporting Maintain fixed asset register Participate in cost-saving initiatives and BEE compliance reporting Assist in procurement processes as required Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) BCom Accounting Degree or equivalent Progress toward a CIMA qualification will be advantageous Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting Experience with Accpac (highly desirable) Background in procurement processes will be advantageous Advanced MS Excel proficiency is mandatory Fluent in English (preferred) Valid driver’s license and own transport (preferred) Clear criminal record Medically fit to perform duties (as per Mine Health and Safety regulations) Key Competencies: Strong understanding of accounting and costing principles High numerical aptitude and attention to detail Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and under pressure Highly organized with good administrative capabilities High level of integrity and accountability Ready to take the next step in your Accounting career?
