Junior Commercial Manager (Fresh Fruit Exports)

Our client, ICON FRUIT , is marketing and supplying fresh fruit specially stone fruit to leading international and local retailers and wholesalers. The following career opportunity became available in the Paarl Office. JUNIOR COMMERCIAL MANAGER ( FRESH FRUIT EXPORTS ) We invite a dynamic and experienced candidate with good knowledge of managing fruit export programmes to apply for this position. The incumbent will report into the Commercial Team. Direct responsibilities will include: support with compiling and management of the procurement-/marketing plan and strategy proactive driving and negotiating to ensure optimum results w.r.t. price, sales and service delivery to multiple international destinations effective communication and management of relationships with producers, suppliers, receivers and colleagues manage the supporting operational requirements in order to ensure timeous deliveries diligent managing of information and relevant administration. Essential requirement: applicable tertiary qualification proven commercial experience in the fruit industry ability to execute multi-disciplinary activities effectively and accurately competent negotiator and communicator (verbally and written) strong computer skills i.e. MS Excel and, preferably, an ERP system. You will form part of a goal-driven commercial team. The remuneration will support the requirements of the position.
