Proposal Engineer

Hey Engineers! Do you love putting together smart, technical proposals that win business and make a real impact? Can you juggle RFQs, scope projects, talk to clients, AND keep your deadlines in check? Then weve got the role for you! We are on the lookout for a Proposal Engineer to support our team in Richards Bay . You'll work closely with Key Account Managers to help cost, plan, and prepare winning proposals for exciting projects, upgrades, repairs, and technical servicesmostly in the aluminium smelting industry. What Youll Be Doing: Working with tender/RFQ specs and turning them into high-quality proposals Liaising with external suppliers and sourcing accurate, cost-effective quotes Scoping out projects, reviewing technical manuals, and compiling BOMs Supporting equipment repair estimates and helping align proposals with client needs Occasionally visiting client sites to understand project requirements Drafting commercial and technical proposals and ensuring that nothing misses deadlines Collaborating with teams in South Africa and our international offices Attending close-out meetings to improve future bids (yes, we like to learn and grow) What Youll Need: Matric & National Diploma (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering Experience in project costing, estimating , or a similar environment Bonus if youve got Supply Chain / Purchasing experience Great with MS Excel, Word, and Project An understanding of heavy industrial equipment is a big plus A curious mindset and the ability to turn technical complexity into smart, practical proposals If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
