Cost and Management Accountant

Job Description: Apart from overall financial experience which would encompass balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow model forecasting, preparation of budget/audit schedules, the following specific experience would be an advantage:- Experience with standard and absorption costing and activity-based costing ability to calculate overhead rates reconciliation of labour hours/machining hours Reconciling manufacturing over/under recoveries Profitability analysis of finished goods Working knowledge of bank guarantees, letters of credit, revolving credit facilities Experience with SARB submissions Deep understanding of transfer pricing Negotiating with banks on forward cover contracts and understanding of FOREX revaluations and hedging mechanisms Experience in dealing with VAT audits Processing payroll/VAT journals Managing stock provision account Managing the fixed assets register SAP Cost centre allocations especially during budgets Run Month end Processes (Production Overheads, Variance Calculation, WIP) Full Stock Take Coordination and Management Stock Ageing and Inventory Reduction Reporting Analysis of Sales Register Fixed Assets Register as per Auditors Format Monthly updating of cost run for all in house product & analysis Assist Financial Manager with Forecasts and Budgeting Check cost center report with budget GL Reconciliations as per Trial Balance list Intercompany invoicing and Reconciliations Preparation of Management Report Presentation Overseas creditors invoicing and reconciliations Reporting Imports and exports Bank negotiations Overdraft Revolving credit Facility Stock takes Budgeting for cost centres Minimum Qualifications : CIMA or CA (SA) (non-negotiable) IT Experience: SAP (preferred) ; Advanced Excel (non-negotiable) SAP ESSENTIAL (NOT NEG) Manufacturing Experience Essential Debtors (Risk Management) Essential Imports and Exports Knowledge of bank guarantees Budgeting for cost centre
