Job Description

The primary objective of this function is to define, develop, and implement effective measures to meet customer quality requirements through proactive problem prevention and continuous improvement of products and services. This role is responsible for overseeing all quality-related standards and features within a specific domain, including but not limited to dimensional evaluation of components (Series measurements, First-off samples, Final Approvals), BMG testing, audit fault investigations, field complaints, supplier development, and the calibration of gauges, measuring instruments, and torque testing equipment. Key Responsibilities Measurement System Development & Maintenance Design, implement, and maintain measurement systems to ensure accurate, proactive quality support in accordance with national and international standards. This includes support for series measurements and part development to uphold product quality. Quality Issue Resolution Analyze quality discrepancies, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure timely and efficient resolution within established quality standards. Equipment Calibration & Compliance Maintain calibration records and ensure all measuring equipment meets international and Group standards, ensuring continued accuracy and reliability. Team Development & Supervision Support the training, mentoring, and supervision of trainees, junior technicians, and new team members. Focus on developing technical skills, professionalism, and system proficiency to build a world-class metrology team. Data Analysis & Reporting Provide accurate measurement and SPC data to support management decision-making and Konzern-level evaluations. Dimensional Calibration & Documentation Conduct dimensional calibration of company fixtures, gauges, measuring tools, and torque testing instruments. Maintain full calibration history to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards, supporting overall vehicle and component quality. Qualification Requirements National Diploma / N.N. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Toolmaker Trade Test Certificate Experience Requirements 35 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry Minimum 2 years experience in part and assembly alignment, setup, and dimensional evaluation Essential Skills & Knowledge Proficiency in metrology symbols and elements (VIM) Practical experience with dimensional measuring equipment and instruments Ability to interpret 3D CAD models and technical drawings Knowledge of software integration with measurement systems Experience in CMM or CNC programming Strong presentation and report writing abilities Capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision Decision-making and task prioritization skills Effective verbal and written communication Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills
