Semi-skilled technician

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Semi-skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a food processing or industrial environment. They will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment in our facility. Location: Springs Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & Repairs 1. Assist in performing scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyors, motors, compressors, and HVAC systems. 2. Support troubleshooting and basic repairs of mechanical and electrical breakdowns. 3. Carry out general maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of simple machine components. 4. Help maintain refrigeration systems to support product quality. 5. Support the repair and servicing of hydraulic and pneumatic systems under supervision. Safety & Compliance 1. Adhere to all safety guidelines and assist in identifying and reporting hazards. 2. Ensure all work complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act). 3. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities for compliance and audit purposes. Support & Optimization 1. Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as directed. 2. Provide hands-on assistance during equipment operation to support production teams. 3. Suggest basic maintenance improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency. Other Requirements: Ability to work in cold and wet conditions. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. Valid drivers license (advantageous). Key Competencies: 1. Strong willingness to learn and grow in a maintenance role. 2.
