Warehouse Assistant - Parow

Role Overview The Warehouse Assistant supports the warehouse operations team by loading and unloading materials, organising stock, repalletizing goods, and maintaining a clean, compliant warehouse floor. The role also involves using warehouse management software to process goods in and out of the system and assisting with cycle counts and stock takes. This is a physically active role requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring pallets are handled efficiently and safely. Use the warehouse management system (WMS) to capture incoming and outgoing stock. Pack stock onto pallets and into lanes neatly and securely. Wrap pallets for safe despatch and prepare them for staging. Support regular cycle counts and stock take activities. Ensure pallet stacks are secure, repalletizing any unstable loads. Maintain a neat and compliant warehouse floor at all times. Work collaboratively with the Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate daily operations. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed. Perform duties in line with health and safety standards. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in transport, road freight, or supply chain logistics. Physical ability to lift and move heavy goods regularly. Willingness to work standard hours (Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00) and after-hours when required. Key Attributes Strong problem-solving and intuitive thinking.
