Continuous Improvement Controller

Location: Paarden Eiland, Western Cape Salary: Market related Job Summary: The company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our team. The Controller will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for implementing robust reporting systems and building a team dedicated to continuous improvement across all departments. The ideal candidate will be a young engineer with experience in continuous improvement, familiar with Kaizen systems, and possess programming skills. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the seafood or food distribution industry. Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, particularly Kaizen. Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and strong understanding of relational databases Proven experience in authoring of PowerBI reports using advanced DAX measures SAP Business One experience a plus Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Young professional with a proactive and innovative mindset. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive reporting systems to track and analyze key performance metrics. Lead and build a team focused on continuous improvement initiatives across all departments. Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for process optimization and efficiency gains. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Utilize programming skills to automate reporting and data analysis tasks. Drive performance improvement in the fish factory by analyzing production data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing lean solutions. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through the application of Kaizen principles.
