Buyer Electrical Contractor

Are you an experienced Buyer with a strong understanding of procurement in the construction or electrical industry? Join one of Cape Towns leading electrical contractors, delivering large-scale projects across the Western Cape. Key Responsibilities: Source and procure electrical materials, equipment, and supplies in line with project requirements. Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive quotes, negotiate pricing and manage lead times. Work closely with the Estimator to ensure cost-effective procurement aligns with project budgets. Prepare and issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely arrival of materials. Maintain up-to-date records of orders, pricing, and supplier performance. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company policies. Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience in a similar buying/procurement role within the construction or electrical industry. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software. Knowledge of local and international electrical suppliers will be an advantage. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
