Sonographer & Echocardiography

Key Responsibilities: Conduct high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, with a focus on MSK scans (shoulders, knees, wrists, etc.). Perform a variety of other scans including: Abdominal Pelvic Small parts Vascular Neonatal If qualified, perform or assist with echocardiography scans (advantageous). Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety during procedures. Accurately capture patient history and clinical notes; ensure complete and clear documentation. Obtain informed consent and ensure billing information is correct and complete. Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals for effective diagnosis and care planning. Maintain and care for ultrasound equipment and contribute to routine quality assurance. Provide guidance or supervision to student sonographers when applicable. Minimum Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound. Registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Sonographer. Completed community service. Minimum 2 years' post-community service experience , including demonstrable MSK scanning experience . Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide compassionate care across a diverse patient population. Familiarity with time management and professional etiquette in a clinical environment.
