Sanctions Analyst

Job Description: To undertake quality assurance on past transaction decisions, including those originating from Moscow office To work on ad hoc projects or enhanced reviews as sole contributor or member of a wider project team, representing Compliance and providing added value as required Provide feedback and escalate issues identified from Sanction screening into clients’ KYC documentation and risk categorisation In relation to breaches, dispensations and waivers to the Group Sanctions Policy ensure appropriate investigation of the issues, escalation to Group Compliance, drafting of quality detailed reports To lead the detailed and complex analysis, investigation, research and evaluation of the business on a business change Project/Programme To provide specialist, objective analytical insight based on work completed by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on a project To formulate and present recommendations based on analysis in order to influence the decisions of senior project and business management Mitigates Operational/Transactional risk through proactive measures being aware of various cut-off times, accurate processing and verification of payments Provide training support for Sanctions positions in Payments Processing cross-training, external job shadows, and product knowledge sessions Work closely with peers and Managers, Team Leaders and service partners
