Test Automation Engineer (Geb Spock)

Job Title: Test Automation Contractor (Geb Spock) Location: Remote (LATAM) Duration: 3 Months (Starting June 30th) Project Overview: We are launching a new customer-facing project focused on UI test automation using the GEB framework with Spock . The engagement will run for an initial 3-month period starting June 30th . We have already secured one resource and are looking to add one more contractor to the team to support test development and execution. Job Description: We are seeking a Test Automation Contractor with hands-on experience in Geb and Spock to build and maintain UI test cases for a web-based application. This role will involve working closely with our QA lead, customer stakeholders, and developers to interpret requirements and translate them into automated tests. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test scripts using Geb and Spock Use Selenium WebDriver for browser automation Ensure test coverage across multiple browsers and platforms Work within an Agile/Scrum team to support regular sprint cycles Collaborate closely with technical leads, developers, and QA team members Perform test maintenance and update existing test cases as needed Report issues clearly and track defect resolutions Required Skills & Experience: 2 years of experience with Geb and Spock framework Strong knowledge of Groovy scripting Experience with Selenium WebDriver Solid understanding of HTML, CSS selectors, and JavaScript Familiarity with cross-browser testing strategies Experience working in Agile environments Strong verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues and quality gaps Preferred: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) Exposure to behavior-driven development (BDD) principles
