Solutions Architect

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Cloud & Application Support Engineer to join our Research & Technology (R&T) team. This role involves supporting and managing test environments primarily hosted in Azure, with occasional opportunities to work in AWS or vendor cloud environments. You will be responsible for maintaining a mix of custom-built and standard engineering applications, supporting reporting tools, and potentially assisting with data integration and pipeline initiatives as R&T projects evolve. Key Responsibilities: Manage and support R&T test environments hosted primarily in Azure; occasional work in AWS or vendor cloud platforms may be required depending on project needs. Support and maintain a combination of custom applications and standard engineering tools used within R&T and test environments. Collaborate with teams to support multiple reporting tools such as Power BI and JIRA, ensuring data accuracy and usability. Assist in integration efforts between various systems, depending on the progress of proof-of-concept initiatives. Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and support for R&T applications and automation scripts. Participate in potential future development or support of data pipelines and ETL processes, although not currently a core focus. Work with the team to explore and possibly implement CI/CD pipelines in the future, though not currently used in the R&T environment. Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure; exposure to AWS or other cloud environments is a plus. Familiarity with custom application support and standard engineering software. Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI and JIRA. Basic understanding of data integration, pipelines, or ETL processes is beneficial but not required. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving technology and project requirements. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative R&T environment. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of scripting or automation languages (e.g., Python) is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions is advantageous but not required. Experience with data pipeline tools such as Azure Data Factory or Matillion is a bonus.
