Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js, WebSocket for real-time communication, video streaming, Kafka, Redis, and scalable cloud infrastructure. This role will be pivotal in architecting, building, and optimizing backend services for TimePay, an innovative SaaS platform that enables real-time payments via cash, voluntary ad engagement, or sponsored coupons. You will be responsible for building high-performance, low-latency backend systems capable of processing millions of real-time transactions and multimedia streams globally. Preferred Qualifications Experience at SaaS or subscription-driven companies, building high-scale transaction-based systems (payment gateways, fintech, ad-tech). Hands-on experience with distributed microservice architectures, event-driven systems, and real-time pricing engines. Familiarity with AI-driven backend systems, particularly adaptive pricing (QMV/QAP), predictive analytics, or reinforcement learning frameworks. Nice to have: Experience with Go or Rust for backend development. Preferred Tools & Technologies Languages & Frameworks: Node.js, TypeScript, Express, NestJS Real-Time Communication: WebSocket, Socket.IO , gRPC, SSE Streaming & Messaging: Apache Kafka, Redis Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch Cloud & DevOps AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda), GCP, Azure Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, CircleCI, Jenkins) Monitoring & Logging: Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack Measurable Outcomes You Will Deliver Develop robust, highly scalable backend systems capable of managing millions of real-time transactions, ads, and video streams. Improve backend performance metrics, including API response times, streaming quality, data processing speed, and system uptime. Enhance system reliability, maintainability, and reduce latency through optimized database design, caching strategies, and an efficient microservice architecture.
