Senior Python Developer Are you passionate about leveraging the Python programming language to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications? If your response is a resounding yes, then we are hunting for you. We are looking for Senior Python Developer at our rapidly growing startup. You will play a pivotal role in building a highly scalable and robust backend platform that spans across 19 countries. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the backend is fully unit-tested before pushing any code to Git, aiming for a 100% code coverage on every module. Key roles and responsibilities: RESTful API Design & Development You will design and develop well-structured APIs that are scalable and maintainable, following coding best practices, and are suitable for consumption by frontend teams across multiple platforms. 2. Accountability from Discovery-to-Delivery Work closely with the FrontEnd team to ensure that the API interfaces are in-line with their UI design and ready-to-be consumed. You will actively participate in product and design discussions, offering valuable insights from a backend perspective to align technology with business goals. You will support QA team with on-time bug fixes. 3. Production support You are responsible to fix any production & regression bugs that may arise, within the defined turn-around time. 4. Third-Party Integration Support As we sometimes partner with third-party providers to expedite our market entry, you’ll work closely with the leads to integrate the 3rd party solutions into our system. This involves finding the best integration methods and providing ongoing support. 5. AI and Prompt Engineering With AI becoming more integral to backend development, you’ll leverage AI to speed up development processes and maintain best practices. Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-driven problem-solving is a significant plus in our team. Must have Skills: • Strong expertise in Python, backend development, microservices and scalable architectures. • Proficiency in designing and building REST APIs. • Strong understanding of any Cloud platforms such as - GCP/AWS • Experience with NoSQL DB or Relational DB • Experience with unit testing in any testing framework and maintaining 100% code coverage. • Profound knowledge in Serverless design pattern • Familiarity with Django or Webapp2 or Flask or similar web app frameworks • Experience collaborating with product and design teams. • Familiarity with integrating third-party solutions. Good to have Skills: • Educational background includes a degree (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 8 years’ experience as a backend development. • Good understanding in Google cloud platform • Knowledge of AI and how to leverage it for day-to-day tasks in backend development. • Familiarity with prompt engineering to enhance productivity. • Prior experience working with global or regional teams. • Experience with agile methodologies and working within cross-functional teams.
