CNC Maintenance Technician

Job Description

 This position will be working directly with the maintenance manager. The maintenance manager will be responsible for training and assigning responsibilities. The main function of this job is to assist the maintenance manager to repair, maintain, and diagnose a fleet of Mazak Horizontal machining centers in order to keep production running. There may be additional responsibilities to help maintain the facility including scheduling repairs through third party contractors. All machines are Mazak brand and similar models, so Mazak CNC experience is a huge plus.


Responsibilities:

· Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.

· Repairing CNC machines as needed.

· Adhering to company safety procedures.

· Promote a culture of safety and reporting unsafe practices and actively contributing to creating a safe environment.

· Help with equipment installation, removal, or relocation.

· Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts to diagnose problems.

· Maintain a clean and safe workplace, in line with preventative maintenance programs.

· Assists with basic facility maintenance and coordinating outside vendors to make repairs.

· Perform routine preventive maintenance operations.

· Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.

· Use precision measuring and testing instruments, gauges, power tools, and other hand tools to complete essential functions.

· Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance.

· Clear alarms on CNC equipment to ensure production can resume.


Benefits:

· Pay: Starting pay will be $25.00 - $32.00 per hour based on experience.
The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications. The biggest factor will be relevant experience.

· This is a full-time, hourly position.

Qualifications:

  • At      least 3 (three) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing      environment with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machines.
  • At      least 3 (three) or more years of maintenance experience, with proven      knowledge in CNC and manual machine equipment.
  • At      least 2 (two) or more years of experience troubleshooting and repairing      hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • At      least 2 (two) or more years of experience reading and interpreting      blueprints, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Mechanical      Aptitude & Technical Skills: Strong understanding and hands-on      experience with precision tools, machinery, and industrial processes, with      a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
  • Proven      ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fostering a      collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with      proficiency in speaking and reading English.
  • Strong competency in critical thinking and effective      problem-solving within technical or fast-paced environments.
  • An onsite industrial manufacturing position, with exposure to      noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and maneuver up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to knee, bend, climb a ladder, and work in restricted      spaces, walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in high elevations, i.e., scissor lift.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

· While performing the duties of this job, the team member is continuously standing, repetitively grasping and repetitively using fine manipulation with the hands. The team member may be frequently required to walk, bend, squat, or twist as well as repetitively push or pull. Individual must be able to work at heights. Will be required to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.


· Safely working above, next to, or inside machinery to diagnose or repair equipment.


· This position is performed in a shop environment. Team members in this position will be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals and vapors. The team member will frequently be required to work outside and at heights. The team member may occasionally be required to work in an office environment.
