Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery - $1,913 per week in Charlotte, NC

Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years LDRP RN experience preferred License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP Must-Have: - Postpartum patient assessments - Magnesium drips management - Glucose control (SQ insulin only) - Blood transfusions - Pre-eclampsia management with IV medications - Breast pumping assistance - Patient-controlled analgesia Description: The role involves providing care for high-risk postpartum patients. The RN will care for mothers postpartum while a newborn nursery nurse attends to the infant. Patient conditions may include postpartum hemorrhage, preeclampsia/eclampsia, magnesium drips, infections, diabetes management, and fetal demise under 20 weeks gestation. The RN will have a patient ratio of 1:4, focusing solely on maternal care. Support within the department includes charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT teams, and 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage. Education and support are provided by a women's service line educator and unit educators. The role may require floating to different areas as needed within the established scope of practice. Weekend rotation is required every other week, and travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. Scrub color will be navy.
