Travel Nurse RN - PCU - $2,398 per week in Yuma, AZ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Cardiac/Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry experience Experience with TAVR and CABG preferred Experience with common titratable drips Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in PCU Cardiac/Intermediate Care. The nurse will care for patients in a stepdown unit with a cardiac focus. Common patient diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, and post-surgical recovery. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night. RNs are required to read telemetry and participate in titrating drips such as amiodarone, cardizem, and insulin. Charge nurses are free of assignment but may occasionally take patients. Patient care techs are available with a typical ratio of 8-12 patients per person. Weekend requirements include working 4 weekend days per month. Holiday requirements include working 3 out of 5 holidays. There is a low census requirement for potential call or standby shifts. Scrubs are navy blue, and orientation will include unit-specific training. The charting system used is EPIC.
