Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg - $2,236 per week in West Burlington, IA

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: RN Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Basic Dysrhythmia Test Description: Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed in order to work on the telemetry/med surg unit. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients and their significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patient populations. Positions are available on the medical-surgical unit and telemetry unit. The estimated work week is 36 hours. Ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. Floating is a requirement for non-critical care inpatient units and may include the emergency department if there are boarded patients. If the traveler has critical care experience, they may be floated to a critical care unit. Every other weekend rotation is required. Cerner EMR will be used. Travelers will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips. A basic dysrhythmia test out must be passed to work on the telemetry/med surg unit. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
