License: Current state nursing license Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Cath Lab experience Description: This position provides care for patients before, during, and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of the catheterization process, post-catheterization care, and patient education. The nurse will scrub in for procedures and assist other members of the catheterization laboratory. The position involves performing nursing care for catheterization and angiography patients. Operating equipment such as cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic monitors, pacemakers/ICDs, and intraaortic balloon pumps is required. Additionally, responsibilities include transferring patients, stocking supplies, and performing basic office procedures. Recording all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets is essential. The nurse will also provide support for interventional radiology procedures along with pre and post-procedure care.
