Glatfelter Institute Graduate Scholar

Position Summary*OVERVIEW *|* *The Glatfelter Institute Graduate Scholar will work with the staff at the Center for Community Engagement (CCE) to help collect, analyze, and disseminate high-quality community data. This staff position allows the Graduate Scholar the opportunity to hone their research skills and garner experience—all the while working to create a more informed data landscape for York’s leaders. Essential Functions * Successfully complete coursework associated with earning an MPPA degree * Provide research assistance and output as assigned by the Director of the Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy * Develop relationships with key partners in the York region, including both governmental and non-governmental leaders, that align work with the College’s and York’s priorities * Willingness to collaborate with other CCE staff on program projects and needs * Stay informed about trends and best practices in public policy and community engagement to bring innovative ideas and approaches to the role * Support and advance the mission of the Glatfelter Institute, and provide administrative and logistical support for CCE initiatives * Maintain detailed records and documentation of research activities, meetings, and community interactions * Meet with Center for Community Engagement staff to discuss projects and program progression Experience and Education RequiredTo be hired for this position applicants must: * Be accepted into an eligible YCP graduate program that starts in summer 2025 or fall 2025.
