Job Description

Lead Our Night Shift as a Coating Operator! Join Avery Dennison as a Coating Operator and take charge of a key role on our night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Monday-Wednesday/Thursday). We're seeking a proactive and skilled individual to lead our coating line operations, ensuring precision and productivity from start to finish. Starting hiring rate: $19.50/hr plus $2/hr shift differential As a Coating Operator, you'll be more than just an operator; you'll be a line leader. Your responsibilities will include: * Operational Leadership: Taking the lead on machine set-ups and changeovers, making critical decisions on machine adjustments, and coordinating preventative maintenance. * Quality Assurance: Routinely performing tests and checks on products using standard measuring devices, making judgments against quality standards. * Process Management: Loading raw materials, unloading finished products, and controlling the machine cycle to meet production schedules and optimize output. You'll monitor gauges, temperatures, pressures, and other controls to ensure adherence to specifications. * Problem Solving: Identifying and reporting malfunctions or abnormalities, making minor adjustments and repairs to equipment as needed. * Documentation: Maintaining accurate production records and logs of equipment and product performance. * Safety & Improvement: Consistently following all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures, actively participating in required training, and continuously seeking methods to improve product quality and reduce waste. * Teamwork: Supporting other team members, participating in decision-making, and assisting with project work to meet departmental and site goals. This role requires a deep understanding of coating processes and the ability to be proficient across various workstations (face unwind, liner unwind, die, main console/winder, quality lab).
