Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience, with 1 year in specialty License: Must possess a valid state license Certifications: COVID-19 Vaccine required; Flu Vaccine required Must-Have: Proficient at supporting Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures utilizing single and biplane radiography units. Description: The technologist will support Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures. Proficiency is required in utilizing both single and biplane radiography units. The role includes call responsibilities, requiring one weekend and 1-2 weekdays per month. Two technologists will be on call during each shift, one primary and one secondary. Procedures include Y90, TIPs, chemo embolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stent, drains, biopsies, lumbar punctures, kyphoplasty, line placements, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, and PE/DVT interventions. The department performs both outpatient and inpatient procedures across all patient acuities, including adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics. The technologist will utilize fluoro and ultrasound imaging equipment. There are multiple radiography rooms available, including two biplane rooms, two single plane rooms, and a dedicated ultrasound room. A CT procedure room is operated by CT technologists. The team consists of several physicians specializing in Body and Neurointerventional procedures. When fully staffed, there are multiple IR technologists on the team. All technologists may be required to float to different areas within the organization as needed.
