Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Endoscopy Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/07/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse – GI Lab / Procedural Sedation (Day Shift) Location: 15031 Rinaldi St, Mission Hills, CA 91345 Shift: Day Shift | 4 x 10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to join our GI Lab team at a nationally recognized Magnet-designated acute care facility in Mission Hills, California. This role requires strong procedural sedation experience, particularly in supporting endoscopic procedures. The RN will be responsible for both pre-operative preparation and post-procedural recovery of adult patients undergoing GI-related interventions. Key Responsibilities: Administer and monitor conscious sedation during procedures such as: EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy) Colonoscopy ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound) EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound) Bronchoscopy PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) Recover patients post-procedure, including those under MAC or general anesthesia Handle and label specimens according to hospital protocols Provide safe and effective nursing care throughout pre-op, intra-procedural, and post-op phases Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy and transport services Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations Job Requirements: Minimum Experience: 1 year of recent procedural nursing experience with conscious sedation Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) LA City Fire Card (mandatory for employment in Los Angeles city medical facilities) Travel Experience: Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted) Licensure: Active California RN license required at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted) Call Requirement: On-call one weekday per week Every third weekend required (travelers rotate every third weekend) Time Off: Only one pre-approved request allowed; must be disclosed upon submission Facility Highlights: Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (Magnet Recognized) Total Staffed Beds: 377 Charting System: Epic Parking: Free on-site parking If you are a motivated and skilled procedural RN seeking a dynamic environment with cutting-edge GI and pulmonary procedures, we welcome your application.
