Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Dalry, Ayrshire (12-Month FTC, On-Site) Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major project for a leading UK construction and engineering group in Dalry, Ayrshire. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, fully site-based, offering the opportunity to work on a high-value, complex project in a regulated environment. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor , you will be responsible for managing cost and contract administration, including payment assessments, cost reporting, change control, and compliance with NEC4 contracts. You’ll play a key role in supporting project delivery, ensuring commercial performance, and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities: Administer contracts and subcontracts, including payments, variations, and forecasting. Negotiate terms and manage claims, variations, and contract close-outs. Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery. Provide commercial support to project teams and ensure accurate cost reporting. Contribute to safety and quality initiatives from a commercial perspective. Requirements: 10 years’ experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction or regulated sectors. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK procurement legislation. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying; RICS membership preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with COINS, SAP, or Ariba is a plus. Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work on-site.
