Specific Application Designer

Position: Application Designer Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Application Designer to join our team. The position is based in Italy and is available at our offices in Pistoia, Roma, Genova, and Bologna. Job Purpose Define, produce, and verify application data and parameters to customize solutions at system or subsystem levels (e.g., IXL, SCMT Wayside, ETCS Wayside). Generate engineering drawings for the execution design of specific applications. Responsibilities Develop and verify application data and parameters for customer solutions. Produce typical engineering drawings for preliminary and execution design, including control tables, track insulation, bonding plans, and station equipment layouts. Assist in Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation and equipment coding. Manage project documentation and support engineering studies throughout project lifecycle. Apply and ensure adherence to processes and standards, especially for SIL 4 subsystems. Contribute to process and tool improvements and manage work products under configuration management. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (electronic, electrical, computer science, telecommunication). Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Windows OS. Experience in application design at subsystem level (e.g., Wayside, Trainborne). Knowledge of engineering design methods and tools. Language skills: Italian (native or equivalent), English (B2 or equivalent). Additional languages (French, Spanish, German) are a plus.
