Electrical Assembly Technician

Job Description
Summary:
- Build and assemble electrical control panels and provide other professional and technical expertise to support quality electrical integration, installation, test and debug of the company's robotic systems as well as being able to perform their duties to ensure that the project milestones are made on time and meet the customer's expectations. Must understand the danger of working with electricity and able to work safely with 480 volts which requires a high attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
- Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Utilize a variety of handheld tools. The expertise to know which tool to use and how to use it to achieve production requirements with a high degree of quality.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
- Perform assembly tasks in a timely manner. Install finished assemblies and subassemblies.
- May be required to train fellow employees
- Enter and complete labor entries in ERP system.
- Identify and assist engineering in documenting changes in assembly instructions or material utilization.
- Assist with teardown and pack-up of systems when necessary and installation of systems in customer facilities.
- Adhere to company safety policies to create a safe work environment.
- Other duties as may be assigned that are trained for and qualified to do.
Education, Experience, Skills, and Physical Requirements:
- Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent technical training in fabrication, mechanical assembly, engineering or related fields is preferred. Must be willing to learn and develop fabrication skills. Ability to operate basic mechanical assembly tools and machinery (training will be provided).
- Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret basic documents such as technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Licenses and Other Requirements:
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record in order to be cover by Acieta’s automobile insurance.
- Must be at ease working with others of essentially equal or even greater technical expertise and experience of an effective manner.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy measuring and work. Must have the ability to follow safety protocols and willing to adhere to safety standards.
- Must have a basic experience with using fabrication tools and machinery including hand tools and power tools. Must provide your own hand tools, measuring tools, and tool bag.
- Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
- Occasional travel to customer sites may be required, including overnight stays.
- Overtime may be required based on business needs.

The employee is occasionally required climb/balance and work in tight spaces.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
