Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. \nLicenses : Registered Nurse (RN) in State of Michigan (Preferred) \nCertifications : Certified Infection Control (CIC) within 2 years of hire \nMinimum Work Experience 2 Years of healthcare related experience \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinates the development and evaluation of the organization's infection prevention and control strategies, policies, and planning. Collects and performs statistical analysis, interpretation and dissemination of healthcare associated infection data, including risk assessment, surveillance priorities, and outcomes analysis. Monitors local, state and federal regulations and ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies' standards and requirements. \nJob Description Report Assists with the development of Infection Prevention educational resources and initiatives. Monitors research and developments in the field of infection prevention and control to identify best practices. Membership in either APIC (Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) or SHEA (Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America) \nNONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.
