Head of Learner Support Location: Hull Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week) Salary: £43,157 FTE per annum This is an exciting opportunity as the Head of Learner Support and champion this colleges commitment to inclusive education. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead and manage a team dedicated to providing exceptional support to learners with diverse needs, ensuring they thrive and achieve their full potential. Day-to-day of the role: Lead and manage a team of professional practitioners across all types of support, including SEND, ALS, Maths, and English. Ensure that learners, including those with learning difficulties, disabilities, dyslexia, and sensory impairments, receive high-quality, tailored support. Oversee compliance with policies, manage budgets, and support learners to achieve their full potential. Represent the College at audits, inspections, and external events, always striving for excellence. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification. Qualified SENCO with a high level of safeguarding training. Extensive experience in SEND, safeguarding, and learner support in FE and HE settings. Proven track record of improving the quality of learner support and achieving 'Good' or higher outcomes in Ofsted inspections. Expertise in managing budgets, leading teams, and making data-driven decisions to secure improvements. Benefits: Flexible working options to suit individual responsibilities.
