We are now searching, for our site in Poynton our: Quality Inspector (m/f/d) Job description: As the unique point of contact in Quality on our site: To inspect the quality of internally and externally made components, incoming and outgoing components and machinery To ensure the standard of Kemutec equipment maintains the correct level of quality Main Duties Inspect all necessary components made internally and externally ensuring they have been manufactured to the correct level of quality, including fabrications, machined parts and purchased components Take care of the final inspection of machines, before shipment Inspection of all pre-certified ATEX components (training can be provided if needed) Document quality issues via the Kemutec non-conformance system, quarantine non-conforming parts, implement corrective and preventative actions and track cost of quality, complete inspection reports for critical components and communicate with the shopfloor team to decide on conformity or concessions Manage Kemutec non-conformance system, including validation of NCs entered by others and ensuring NCs are closed out satisfactorily and support the development of a robust quality system Assist with the review of suppliers, based on our continuous improvement processes Organising the calibration of measuring equipment and maintain records Required profile: Experience in a wide range of machined and fabricated components and a mechanical background Knowledge in measuring equipment and experience as a quality inspector Experience with rotating machinery would be much appreciated Computer literate including familiarity with Navision or similar business software Self-motivated and autonomous Good communication skills for contact with the workshop technicians, our external suppliers, our design engineers Willingness to learn and progress: a high potential profile could evolve towards greater responsibilities (ISO procedures, contact with other companies from the group) What we offer: This unique role is a key element in the quality process for Kemutec and its process components: Join us in Shaping What Matters For Tomorrow!
