Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: Near Weymouth, Dorset, UK. Salary: £50,000 -£60,000 per year (depending on skills and experience). Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. Overview: Our client is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our innovative design and development team. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone with a strong technical background and a proven track record in electronics design. Located near Weymouth in Dorset, our client specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced electronic and electro-mechanical technologies. Their Work Includes: - End-to-end design and development of new products to customer specifications. - Creation of custom test and production-line equipment. - Build-to-print manufacturing of complex electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. Role Responsibilities: As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will: - Lead and contribute to design projects from initial concept through to final delivery. - Work on a wide variety of applications, including embedded systems, digital/analogue electronics, and high-level software. - Collaborate with customers to interpret and develop design requirements. - Develop innovative and effective solutions to complex engineering challenges. - Contribute to the design, prototyping, testing, and documentation phases. - Lead small teams of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and technical direction. Key Requirements: - Experience in some or all of the following: - Electronic systems design (both digital and analogue). - Embedded programming for Microcontrollers and Raspberry Pi. - High-level software development e.g. Window-based applications. - Product development, including full lifecycle design and delivery. - Fault diagnosis and system troubleshooting. Candidate Profile: - At least 10 years of experience in electronic design engineering. - A solid understanding of electronics design principles and techniques. - Strong problem-solving and innovation skills. - A positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work independently and in teams. - Eligibility to work in the UK and be suitable for UK security clearance.
