Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial aspects of construction projects are effectively controlled and monitored. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to provide accurate estimates and maintain budgetary compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Conduct cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and identify potential savings. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide regular reports on project costs and forecasts to management. Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints. Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to clarify project requirements and resolve any discrepancies. Experience A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction processes, contract law, and procurement methods. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
