Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring English lessons to students across different secondary school grades. Assess and review student progress through both formative and summative assessments. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and examination specifications for English. Encourage students to think critically about texts and express their ideas clearly and confidently. Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and whole school training events. Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student well-being and high standards of achievement. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level. Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and current educational practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
