Laboratory Technician (weekend work)

A well-established, family-run food manufacturer based in the York area is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its small, dedicated technical team. Please note, this role is over 4 days and permanent weekend work Saturday-Tuesday, 7-4pm. Key Responsibilities: Perform analytical testing and quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished products Maintain accurate records and documentation Support process improvement and NPD activities Conduct hygiene monitoring and uphold lab safety/cleanliness standards Liaise with production, technical, and process teams to ensure quality expectations are met Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous lab or QA/QC experience, ideally within the food manufacturing sector Understanding of laboratory testing methods and food safety protocols A science-based qualification (degree, HND, A-levels) or equivalent experience Please note, we are only considering candidates that currently live within a commutable distance to site.
