Tutor

Are you a passionate and patient tutor with experience supporting learners with SEN/ SEMH needs? We are looking for a positive, motivated and enthusiastic Maths and English Tutor to work one-on-one with a Year 8 student who requires tailored support 15 hours per week. This would be divided into 3 hour sessions per day (Monday- Friday) and timings are flexible. As a Tutor, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions that meet the needs of students. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential. Record student progress and report on this weekly. Be understanding, empathetic and patient. Record attendance. Be organised, dependable and creative. About you: Nurturing and caring nature Patient, kind and understanding Strong understanding of the National Curriculum Organised Comfortable to support secondary aged pupils with English, Maths and possibly Science too. Have experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs. Position - Tutor Contract or position start date - ASAP Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Full time/part-time - Part-time Hours - 15 per week- 3 hours per day. Essential & Desirable Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must: Hold right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide references upon request Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this) ADZN1_UKTJ
