Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Area of interest: Governance, Risk Management & Compliance Assist Head, MAR Trade Surv with implementation of multi-year strategy (including but not limited to Cross Product), aligning with regulatory expectations and business growth. Assist Head, MAR Trade Surv. and collaborate with Strat & Innovation team to identify and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI) to enhance detection and review of complex market abuse patterns. Assess, analyze, and interpret outputs from MARA assessments, providing oversight and challenge with scenario design, calibration, data remediations, and coverage to ensure surveillance adapts to new products (e.g., crypto, derivatives) and trading behaviors. Partner with Surv. Data & Optimization team; interpret and follow up on project implementations, liaising with Front Office, Change, IT, and Data teams to enhance data pipelines and surveillance capabilities. Help the Group meet its commitment of being “Here for Good” by building a sustainable compliance framework emphasizing data quality management, project management, and fostering a culture of appropriate conduct. Maintain constructive relationships with Technology Heads of Compliance and Business. Maintain independence, deliver timely responses, and escalate risks and issues in projects where risk management tolerance is exceeded. Responsibilities • Understand various global market abuse regulations and the Group’s business strategy and Compliance mandate. • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to support strategic objectives. • Support development of analytics methods to enhance scenario alerts, improve data quality, and facilitate better data mapping, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and MAR Surv Strategy. • Provide leadership for activities including requirements specifications, prioritization, UAT, and regression testing. • Mitigate and resolve risks and issues, establish controls, and collaborate with stakeholders. • Participate in scenario logic reviews, enhancements, and stakeholder engagement for implementation, including authoring and reviewing specification documents. • Identify key issues, resolve or escalate them, and ensure comprehensive risk management. • Ensure compliance with the regulatory framework and provide challenge to senior management where activities exceed risk appetite, escalating as necessary. • Uphold the Group’s values and Code of Conduct, embedding high standards of ethics and compliance. • Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters. Skills and Experience Key Stakeholders Other teams within Compliance Surveillance, Advisory, Assurance, and Business / Front Office. Our Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in computing, IT, or similar quantitative field. 10 years of experience with financial markets products. Experience in trade surveillance. Project management experience with a global team.
