Sr. Application Engineer : Drive Train and Vehicle Mechanics For our office in Turin, Italy, Gamma Technologies, LLC (GT) is seeking a Senior Application Engineer : Drive Train & Vehicle Mechanics with a strong work ethic, sound judgment, and a willingness to develop a long-term career with us. Engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE is created, marketed, and sold by Gamma Technologies. All major automakers successfully use GT software for many years, and most cars / vehicles around us include parts designed by GT. Our products support the development of environmentally friendly, cost-effective products by our clients in the automotive, aerospace, and marine sectors. Position Summary To assist our clients in optimizing our software and to utilize insights from these interactions to enhance our products, we are looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated application engineer to join our Mechanical Application Engineering Group. We aim to expand our Mechanical Application Engineering team, which supports clients in using GT-SUITE to simulate electric motors, pumps, compressors, and entire vehicle systems and powertrains. We seek an engaged, autonomous individual to support our global operations and our European team in Prague, collaborating closely with offices worldwide. Job Responsibilities Evaluate and resolve technical support requests via email, phone, or other channels. Serve as the first point of contact for customer support, coordinating with DevOps teams for timely resolutions. Understand customer challenges and objectives to align features and benefits accordingly. Contribute to shaping the Drive Train & Vehicle Mechanics product roadmap through research and feedback. Conduct customer training to ensure satisfaction and maximize product utilization. Identify trends to improve support processes and user experience. Mentor and train new team members. Support evaluation projects for potential new clients. Assist in internal software development and validation of new models and features. Create tailored simulation workflows using GT-SUITE. Participate in conferences and working groups related to the field. Education, Experience, and Skills Qualifications may include a combination of education and experience, such as: MSc. in Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical, Aerospace, etc.) At least 3 years of experience in powertrain and engine design, measurement, instrumentation, and controls. Participation in SAE student competitions or similar activities is a plus. Technical expertise in gear design, electrified powertrains, NVH, and related software tools. Experience with transmission and geartrain applications, finite element methods, and 3-D MBD software is advantageous. Programming skills (e.g., Matlab, Python) are a plus.
