Tailor&Fox, your HR Business Partner, on behalf of a global and leading group provider of mobile hydraulic and electrification products and solutions, is looking for an experienced: STRATEGIC BUYER You will have the opportunity to be part of a Global Purchasing / Procurement team, responsible for operational procurement activities within local/regional sites. Based in Reggio Emilia (Italy), you will serve as the main contact for suppliers and the business. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, you will join international projects with colleagues from HQ and other branches in Italy, Denmark, the UK, the USA, Brazil, India, and China. The main challenge is ensuring excellent execution, attention to detail, and delivering on time while maintaining high quality and cost targets, following a continuous improvement approach. You should be able to make optimal cost, quality, and delivery sourcing decisions. Key Responsibilities Liaise with various teams and functions (Engineering, Operations, Procurement) to forecast and supply to the business. Collaborate proactively with category and BU teams to improve processes, meet/exceed targets, and share best practices. Manage supplier accountability (50% in Italy and 50% abroad), support corrective actions for on-time delivery, and follow up on reimbursement activities. Handle contracts and pricing, including standard purchase prices and price change reporting. Maintain procurement master data for local/regional sites, including SAP data updates. Create and maintain Service Level Agreements and supplier tooling databases, including input for budgets. Coordinate ramp-up and ramp-down of new projects, including supplier onboarding. Monitor material availability, address supply and quality issues, and document supplier performance. Oversee lead time and VMI activities, and compare forecasts with supplier capacities. Requirements BSc/BA in Business, Technology, Project Management, or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus. Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or operations. Proven experience in strategic supplier management. Strong preference for experience with hydraulic system components/categories. Excellent teamwork skills, especially in global settings with diverse stakeholders. Fluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken). Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage at all organizational levels. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Outstanding negotiation skills, capable of managing stakeholder expectations. Results-oriented with a proactive mindset to overcome obstacles. Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment.
