Mainframe Developer

Looking for Mainframe developer for the migration project to GCP. Ideal resource will have experience in Writing and debugging the mainframe code and will migrate it to Java . Experience- 5 yrs Location: Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad Notice: 15 -30 Days Key Responsibilities: - Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe languages. - Assist in migrating legacy applications and data to modern platforms (GCP), ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. - Analyze and optimize existing programs for performance enhancement, ensuring efficient use of mainframe resources. - Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical support, and ensure smooth project execution. - Perform unit, integration, and regression testing to validate developed functionality and ensure high-quality deliverables. Technical Skills: -Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proficiency in COBOL, PL/I, JCL, and other mainframe languages. - Strong experience with DB2 or similar mainframe database systems. - Knowledge of mainframe tools and utilities, such as Change man, Omegamon, File-Aid, and Rational Developer for Z. - Experience with mainframe migration projects, including migrating legacy applications and data to modern platforms. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
