Quality Assurance Automation Lead

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an automation strategy aligned with overall testing and development goals. Design and develop a scalable and maintainable automation framework using Selenium and Python. Oversee the implementation and integration of automation tools into the testing process. Lead the development of automated test scripts using Python for functional, regression, and performance testing. Review and provide guidance on coding practices to the automation team. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing. Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans and strategies, including automation test coverage. Ensure test cases cover functional, integration, and regression testing scenarios. Investigate and report defects and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues. Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing guidance and support. Effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and management. Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss testing strategies and release planning. Provide training to team members on Python and automation best practices. Maintain documentation on issues, resolutions, and improvements in the automation process. Ability to independently develop and execute automation scripts using Selenium Python Executes automated test scripts and report defects, ensuring that the product meets quality standards and adheres to defined requirements Work together with software developers to enhance and improve programs. Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements. Regular work on optimizing automation code quality and improving reliability indicators in the development process. Required Skills 7 years of experience as Lead QA Engineer Expertise in Python coding skills Experience in testing framework like Pytest and Robot In-depth understanding of API Automation using Python Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD, Bamboo, GitHub, bit bucket or similar tool Hands on experience in Performance/Load testing – JMeter Can write well-designed, testable, and efficient code Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance Clear understanding of Devops activities like creating a CI/CD pipeline etc. Strong knowledge of Test management tool Jira Good understanding in cloud as AWS or GCP Additional Skills Rest /SOAP API Knowledge in multiple python libraries for data testing like Panda’s Understands Devops concepts (Docker, CI/CD, AWS code builds etc.) Knowledge in security testing Database testing Familiarity with mobile testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Appium) to extend automation coverage to mobile applications.
