Lead Structural Design Engineer (8 years from Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Refinery/Pharma)

Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering from a reputed institution with a strong academic background. Experience: 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Civil and Structural design, with the ability to independently perform structural analysis , calculations, and preparation of engineering deliverables. Key Responsibilities: Serve as Area Lead on projects, coordinating across disciplines and ensuring timely delivery and code compliance. Execute and review structural design of steel and concrete structures in industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power, and Pharmaceuticals . Apply relevant international and local design codes including IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, Eurocodes, and IS codes . Lead the development and review of Civil/Structural calculations, reports, drawings, and sketches . Key Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities for multi-disciplinary and multi-location team collaboration. Commitment to quality , safety , and engineering excellence . Technical Skills & Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Mathcad, and IDEA StatiCa . Familiarity with Navisworks , AutoCAD , and 3D modeling environments . Exposure to geotechnical reports , retrofitting , and structural modification projects. Preliminary understanding of underground structural design concepts. Working knowledge of European and American design standards is an added advantage. Evaluate design options based on technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and project schedule . Collaborate with multi-office teams, designers, and discipline leads to ensure alignment across all phases of the project. Review vendor/shop drawings , and ensure proper documentation and change management .
